Balsa wood
The Balsa or Boya (Ochroma pyramidale) is a subtropical species well known for its flexibility and lightness. It is a fast-growing tree, which is why it produces a low-density wood, the lowest of commercial woods in the world. For several decades now, Ecuador has been the first raft producing and exporting country in the world.
